The ultimate goal for those who follow Sanatana Dharma is to attain moksha, that is to be freed from the cycle or births in this world. The soul of someone who attains moksha will join Brahman, or they might choose to be born again to guide people.

There is nothing called Hinduism goal, Islam Goal or other goal. Every living entity living in this universe has only one goal. To attain liberation and not to return to this world again. Becoz this world is like prison house full of miseries. Liberation can be achieved only by progress of self realization. Religion means not fanaticism were one person belong to one ethnic group picks on other and fight in the street. Religion means how a living entity can connect to god. How he can re-establish his lost relationship with god.

Before creation God was only one. Will a person enjoy at home alone.? He cannot. Similarly God wanted to enjoy and so he expanded into unlimited forms as unlimited living entity. Some call this as big bang theory. That expanded minute living entity is what we call as soul (Jiva atma). and the soul that created this Jiva atma is called Super soul or Param atma. This soul has no beginning or no end. It's neither born nor it'll die. It can neither be burnt nor be cut with any device. This soul is part and parcel of the super soul or the supreme.

The constitutional position of the soul is to serve the super soul all the time. So the super soul or Param atma is the actual maintainer of the jiva atmas. This Jiva atma out of illusion thinks that how long to serve the super soul. Why I've to serve him. Why not others serve me. By nature the Jiva atma is very pure and pristine and posses all qualities that param atma has got. Out of Illusion the jiva atma thinks like that. When a drop of water leave from the cloud it's very pure. The moment it touches the ground it get contaminated with dust. Similarly the soul as long as in contact with serving the super soul it is very pure and always in liberated condition. The moment it gets in contact with evil aggressors like Pride, Lust, Anger, Enviousness, illusion and madness it becomes conditioned. Just like true nature of the sky is conditioned with mix of cloud or like fire covered with smoke. As long as a person abide by the law of the state he's free to do anything. If the same person acts against the law of the state he becomes conditioned and sent to prison house.

Since these Jiva atma rebelled against the will of god or super soul the jiva atma becomes conditioned and sent to this material world for rehabilitation just like a criminal sent to the prison house. The criminal has to serve in the prison house depending on the crime he committed. Similarly the jiva atma has to serve in this material universe depending upon how much it has got conditioned. The goal of every living entity is to serve in this material prison for their rebellious nature against got and attain liberation from this material prison. If a prisoner is intelligent he'll think how soon he can get out of the prison. For that it does not mean he can make some escape plans according to his whims. If he would be caught again then the punishment will be multifold. If the prisoner behaves properly during his serving term there are opportunities for him to get out of prison before the actual release date. Like wise the living entity serve in the material universe a long duration of time. Like millions of birth. The Jiva atma has to go thru transmigration of different type of body. It starts with Aquatics to trees to birds to mammals to beast and finally to the human race of life.

That's why we say human form of life is very precious. To acquire this human form of life we had to wait billions of earthy years and millions and millions of bodily birth. Humans has no idea about the creator and the science of this creation. Humans live in this land and animals also live in the same land. In what way we are different than animals. Why intelligence has given to us and why not to animals. Animals have no intelligence and so they are put in the process of evolution. But god has given humans intelligence. The given intelligence humans are using it to invent machines, rockets, and killing animals. And now they are inventing lot of process like stunning on how to kill cow or pig without causing much pain. Killing itself is painful process then where is the question of showing mercy. Animals live killing on another animal because they have no intelligence to discriminate. But humans has got intelligence. We have to use our given intelligence to love and serve god and to think how soon we can get out of this misery universe and get connected back to our original state (liberated state) We use intelligence to make some sharp object like knife to slit the throat of that poor animal. will we ever use the same knife on us or on our kith and kin. What caused us our birth in this land. Whether I am this body or something else. What happens after we die. Animals cannot think all these. Intelligence means to think about self realization "Who am I" not like inventing some rocket and sending to some planet to bring a bag of sand and brag. That sand is available in this planet itself why to take a machine and go there. It's all useless and waste of time.

So the core preaching of every "ISM" is to understand and love god. Whether it's bible or Gita or Quran the fundamental teaching is love and serve god. A truely self realized person sees every living entity may be human or animal Rich or poor hindu or muslim educated or uneducated with equal vision.
