Gold bullion is based on the going market for the metal and is usually purchased in bars with a troy ounce weight of about 400. The 1893 Deutsches Reich 20-mark coin weighs only about 8 grams, so it would not have the same value as a bullion brick, but a coin in good shape can be worth over $200.
German Pfennig and Mark from 1948 and up are not Deutsches Reich coins, but they were a transitional currency between the time after the war ended and federal government took over. Value depends on condition, rarity and errors, so.. somewhere between $1 and $10, errors on the coin might significantly multiply it's value.
There were over a dozen different denominations. Please post a new question with the coin's denomination. It will be in either marks or pfennigs.
