Look under the date to see if there's a mint mark letter. Approximate retail values are:
No mint mark (Philadelphia):
10 to 75 cents for a circulated coin, $1.25 to $31 uncirculated
D (Denver mint):
10 cents to $1 for a circulated coin, $4.50 to $35 uncirculated
S (San Francisco mint):
12 cents to $1.75 for a circulated coin, $4.50 to $27 uncirculated

$0.14 in good condition, $5.52 in MS 60 condition and $9.31 in MS 63 condition. Note, Philadelphia was the only mint to produce proof coins, which are worth about $93 if you are lucky to own one.
1926 DOUBLED DIE VARIETY: Philadelphia also made an error and produced a doubled die coin. In just good condition, it would be worth about $9.30 while an MS60 mint condition would be worth about $160 and MS63 would be worth nearly $300.

$0.14 in good condition, $3.76 in MS 60 condition and $7.59 in MS 63 condition.
S (San Francisco mint):
$0.14 in good condition, $4.74 in MS 60 condition and $6.55 in MS 63 condition.
