I own two JC Higgins bolt action tube magazine shotguns in 20 gauge. I paid $70 for one that I cut down to Shoot slugs and another I paid $60 for with a poly-choke. I like these old shotguns and watch shows for them all the time. 16 gauge seems to be the most common. And a gun in good shape usually runs what I paid, $60-$70 dollars
Also I was looking on an gun auctioneers website and two 16 ga's as separate auctions went from 100 to 130 in good condition
It controls whether a shell is loaded from the magazine when the action is pumped.
