What is the value of a Marlin 22 cal 882 ss micro grove barrel WMR?
It's really going to depend on condition. The .22 Mags have a lot of popularity in the south and Midwest, it appears, and I would have no trouble selling that gun in good (used) condition for $150.
Adding comment: Yeah, $150 to $200 is what they sell for here in the Atlanta, Georgia area. I bought mine (used) for $140 but it was missing the magazine. So I bought 3 extra mags for it, and a 4X scope, and rings, and a sling, and now I'm happy with this rifle and only spend about $200 on it.
I just turned 60 years old (Oct. 2007). I bought a used marlin golden 39-A mountie serial # R 196XX. It could not have been more than ten years old? Very accurate and it came with a Lyman peep sight as well as iron sights. 16 Micro Grove barrel. One of my best and favourite guns. Lots of memories. A most beautiful gun. The year of manufacture for S = 1958-1959.
Marlin's first shotgun was a pump action, made in 1898. Marlin never made a double barrel shotgun in their entire history. However, Marlin did own the LC Smith shotgun company after it went bankrupt in 1945. That made them technically a "Marlin" product. If your gun is a 1800's double barrel, it is not a Marlin.
