Marlin made some single barrel .410 shotguns but they had tubular magazines, not clips & most of those were lever action. You might want to re-list this question with as much data as you can obtain.
Take out the clip , unload any existing bullets from barrel. Remove the two screws from the clip plate, and then remove the two main screws, one in front of and one behind the clip area. Now carefully remove the barrel from the stock. Then remove the bolt action and clean the barrel as per the cleaning material instructions.
The Marlin 780 dosent use a clip, it uses a magazine. You can get these from aimsurplus.com
$100-150, depending on condition.
On my model 20 its on the left side of the barrel directly up from the clip.
yes the Marlin 7000t was a target version that came with a laminate wood stock. The stock 7000 came only with synthetic stocks.
The rifle was made by marlin in good condition its worth about 100 dollars. These are usually good shooters as are most Marlin rifles; its it a keeper. It is also known as a Marlin Model 80. Clip is still available for about $16 directly from Marlin.
Yes, it says on the barrel, .22 S, L, LR. They will feed from the clip as well. Mid 80's Marlin Model 25 will as well. Post '88 Marlin Model 25N rifles will not feed them from the magazine. Just read the barrel if you are not sure which model you have.

2 dollars!
straight from marlin
This gun was made from 1937 to 1965. The Standard Catalog says $50 in NRA Good, but I doubt if it would sell quite that low.
AnswerThe 915y that I have is single shot only. There is no place for a magazine. The short answer is no, a Marlin 915Y can not be converted to be magazine fed. The long answer is that with enough money and effort it could be done by a competent gunsmith, but I suspect that it would cost hundreds of dollars to do so.
