During WW I, a number of companies made the 1911 for military service, including Remington UMC (for Union Metallic Cartridge). Remington produced about 21,500 of these weapons, serial numbered 1-21,676. They were made in 1918 and 1919 only. Blue Book value for a 95% original condition Remington 1911 is $2,500.00, but I certainly cannot vouch for the condition of your gun. Take this one to a competent appraiser before doing anything to it (including cleaning).

Need more info to shoot a figure...condition, gauge, barrel length/choke/ribbing...AnswerThe Remington Model 11 was produced from 1905-1947. It was the first autoloading shotgun produced in the US. You can look up the serial number and age of this gun by the date code on the left side of the barrel, The Remington home page will tell you which model (trap, riot, special, etc) but unless it is highly engraved it is only worth a few hundred dollars. ($100.00 to $250.00) Depending on condition.
