I was researching this myself. I found one being sold on www.gunsamerica.com for $475 New in Box. I also found an answer on oldguns.net that said it is one of about 52,000 rifles and is only worth around $400. I believe you may be underestimating the value of your rifle since Winchester ceased operations. One important aspect is that the Teddy Roosevelet rifle was made in two barrel lengths. One was a 20" carbine and the other a 24" Rifle. The rifle always brings a premium. The latest Blue Book of Gun Values lists the value at $595.

The Theodore Roosevelt commemoratives were sold in 1969. The rifles have a value of $450, New In Box. Without the box and accompanying paperwork or if the gun has been fired, the value is typically much less.

Vintage Winchester posters featuring Roosevelt are sought by collectors in a number of collecting genres, including Political, Presidential, Firearms and Military. Value is a direct function of the poster's authenticity and all-important condition. A genuine example may be worth as much as $500 to a dedicated collector. For a more accurate appraisal, please feel free to send any additional details and photos of the poster to me at Stockyard2000@aol.com. Scans are VERY helpful in this process and much appreciated.

If unfired and with certificate and box, the values range $695-$1000 that is in pristine condition.

If like a lot of these 30-30s the purchaser has misplaced the box and certificate, the gun still has quite a value from $450 to $650, Being fired starting at $450.

Unfired without certificate and box up $695..........

Most collectors like to have the original box and certificate, however they will purchase the Rifle and what they will pay you is based on the condition of the Rifle.

The boxes were very ornate and with a picture of Teddy on them. That is why they are very collectible also.

Is there a Winchester Teddy Roosevelt Commemorative 30-06 Rifle?

Winchester says they never made a Teddy Roosevelt Commemorative 30-06, but they do have a Teddy Roosevelt Commemorative Model 94 chambered in 30-30. They also have Limited Edition Model 1895s (Teddy Roosevelt's favorite rifle) in the 30-06 caliber that have Roosevelt's picture on the box, but they're not technically Teddy Roosevelt Commemorative models. Hope that helps.
