What is the value of a Trade Mark Favorite 25 Stevens single shot octagon barrel lever action rifle serial number 281?
Would have to see it. Digital pictures would help. firstname.lastname@example.org
Where can you find information about a 22 LR Stevens Favorite with a half-octagon half-round barrel marked 1794A T on top of the barrel and 1500 on the bottom tang?
There should be much more to the marking than that. That is only part of a patent date. Leads me to believe the gun is in pretty sad condition if that is all that is legible. Anyway, Stevens Favorite rifles were produced in several different models with slightly different features. Sometimes just the sights make the difference. Would need a LOT more detailed information and pictures if possible. email@example.com
The '1864' marking you are seeing is part of a patent date, not a model number. Stevens guns generally will have the 1864 patent date through about 1916, and there were a great many models produced on the same basic action that would show that patent date. If you can send us detailed digital pictures, we can help you identify which model you have and go from there. firstname.lastname@example.org
Where can you find information about a 22 Favorite 22 inch octagon barrel lever action single shot rifle with no model number?
The Stevens Favorites were made from 1893 to 1939. The name "J. Stevens Arms Co" was used from 1920 to about 1948. So yours was made between 1920 and 1939. Answer I have a Favorite model J Stevens Arms Co rifle that has 1915 stamped on it. It has a hexagon barrel, in very good shape and I believe worth between 4-$600.

Without saying the model number in your question? The best that I can do is say that you may have 1 of 2 models. The savage model 25 had a octagon barrel and a pump action, open sights, takedown, hammerless, tube magazine, plain pistol grip stock. These were made between 1925-1929.The second model is the model 29.These pump action .22cal rifles had a 22in.octagon barrel until 1940,open sights, checkered pistol grip stock on the pre-war version.these were made by savage between 1929-1967.
