The Mitsubishi 4G54 engine uses a flywheel with a ring gear that has 131 teeth. This ring gear is essential for the starter motor to engage and crank the engine during starting.
No difference at all exept the region. America has the g54b and Australia has the 4G54. These engine were developed in Australia from the late 70's to the mid 90's so you will get differences in the years but mainly the cylinder heads. The early M1s through to the M7s are Hemi's (hemispherical combustion chambers) and M8 heads have a different kidney shaped combustion chamber. But all the components that fit the g54b will fit the 4G54 (depending on the year model and engine variant)
It depends on what engine. I have one with a 4 cyl petrol engine which is the 4g54 engine, it was also made with a v6 and a diesel as well. I am not sure what models they are.
