1964. Value depends upon several things. Condition, original box, papers, length of barrels are some. Go to one of the used gun sites like gunbroker.com to compare.
I will tell you not to sell it for less than $1,700 if it is in the condition you think.
Google Browning the salt problem.
Depending on condition, a few hundred to a few thousand USD.
Depends on what configuration. The Broadway Trap was available in Lightning, Field, etc, in the Superposed. Unfortunately, the Broadway Trap is less desireable to collectors than field guns, particulary 26" guns with open chokes. In excellent condition with fitted Browning case, it would sell around $1000-$1400
your Browning superposed grade I lightning will bring between 750-1.300 dollars for a shotgun showing between 60%-90% of its original condition and a good set of bores. You may add 20-25% on top of the prices quoted if your shotgun has a round knob at the bottom of the pistol grip and a long tang stock variation(pre-1966 manufacture). The serial number that you provided, indicates that your superposed was made in the year 1937.
Superposed shotguns are very collectable when in top condition. Values have a wide range due to so many variations and grades of the Superposed and other Browning Over/Unders. Value is too difficult to be accurate without seeing the gun. Condition which includes the amount of original finish and original configuration will determine value. Recommend taking it to a gun shop for appraisal.

Who made it? What caliber/gauge?

I own a Browning Superposed 12 Ga Lightning Standard in 85% condition and its retail value is approx $1,050. Depending on which model Superposed you have and its condition, your value could be considerably lower or substantially higher. The last two digits of the serial number indicate the gauge and year of manufacture IE, S7, S= 12 Ga and 7= 1967. If you look at the bottom of the receiver in front of the triggerguard you should find the model name, this will help you get a more accurate estimate. The only way to get a truly accurate appraisal though is to take the shotgun to a reliable dealer and have them give you a wholesale/trade in vale and a retail value based on the guns actual condition.

Need serial number to date most any firearm. Check Browning's website under customer service, then date your firearm. Value is determined by condition of firearm, and area of the sale.
