The main difference is that plant cells have a cell wall.

The other is that they contain chloroplasts instead of hemoglobin molecules. Plants do photosynthesis and human cells do tissue respiration.

Plants have a special type of vesicles called vacuoles.

Plant cells shows totipotancy while most human cells (besides stem cells) do not.

Plant cells have cell walls which are made of cellulose. They provide structure and shape to the plant. Plants also have a larger central vacuole than animal cells do - this is because the vacuole is used as a storage space and since plants create their own food, they need a bigger space to store it. This vacuole also acts as a fluid skeleton in plants and pushes outwards (turgor pressure) to keep the plant from wilting. The cell wall also helps the plant cell from bursting due to the outwards pressure.

Another big difference between the two types of cells are the organelles. Plant cells have chloroplasts, which contain chlorophyll. This is the site of photosynthesis (harnessing light energy and converting it into chemical potential energy). Animal cells tend to have more mitochondria due to higher energy demands (the mitochondrion is the site of respiration, releasing of energy from food).

Are mitochondria in plants different from mitochondria in animals?

Mitochondria can be found in both animal and plant cells and there is no difference between those from plants and those from animals.

Define mitosis how does differ in plants and animals?

It is the process of cell division taking place in somatic cells where two daughter cells are formed which have the same chromosome number as the mother cell and which are identical to the mother cell. It differs in plants and animals: Animals; A centriole formed at the poles. Plants: no centriole Animals: An incision develops between the two cells in the telophase Plants: A cross wall develops between the two cells in the telophase

Is centrioles in plant cells?

NO plants do not have centrioles, but have a spindle closely identical to the Animals

How are the cellular activities of plants and animals different?

the cellular activity in plants and animals are diffrebt because the plants have diffrent cells to animals for example plants have a cell called dermal cells and animals have red/white blood cells
