∙ 9y agoWhen a flag touches the ground you should pick it up as soon as possible. You should then inspect it to ensure that it can be displayed. It can be cleaned and flown again as long as it is not damaged.

∙ 15y agoThe falg code says "The flag, when it is in such condition that is no longer fitting emblem for display, should be destroyed in a dignified way, preferable by burning.", but although the flag code says that some people think that u do not have to destroy it because if the flag simply touches the ground does not make it unfitting to hang on display.

∙ 15y agoThe flag does not have to be destroyed/burned. This is a myth. Simply remedy the situation. If a flag gets dirty but not stained, ripped or otherwise unsuitable, it may be laundered or drycleaned.
