The unreactive gases are called the Noble Gases and appear in the rightmost column of the Periodic Table of the Elements. From lightest to heaviest they are:-

Helium (He)

Neon (Ne)

Argon (Ar)

Krypton (Kr)

Xenon (Xe)

Radon (Rn) which is radioactive.

There are also a large number of unreactive gases which are compounds.

Go down the list of noble gases and pick one. All of them are very unreactive.

There are six noble gases: helium (He), neon (Ne), argon (Ar), krypton (Kr), xenon (Xe) and radon (Rn). Noble gases have completely filled orbitals / energy levels. They generally have 8 valence electrons (helium has only 2) and have stable electronic configuration. Hence they are chemically inert and generally donot form compounds under normal conditions.

Justify why the noble gas family is unreactive?

In short, an element's valence shell is full and most stable when it contains eight electrons (this stability is the reason that the noble gases are so unreactive).
