Please respond with all the markings you can find on the gun. That is not a valid Savage model number. sales@countrygunsmith.net
i received a 22 410 over and under shotgun from my dad and i need to replace the firing pin in the 22 and they told me i needed to know what year it was produced to get the right pin. on the side it says "savage" and under that it says " savage arms corporation" and under that " chicopee falls, Mass usa" on the barrel it says" 22 long rifle" and on side of it it says "proof tested .410 bore 3 inch chamber". back on the main body of the gun on the right side of it says "model 24" and under that "patent 2259397" . any answers would be great on getting the pin replaced. kelly_carelock@myway.com

The "June 1909" is the Patent Date and you can take the serial number to the savage arms website and they should be able to tell you everything you want to know.
.222 Remington model
It should be stamped on the barrel It should be stamped on the barrel
apparently this gun (model 31) is actually a savage/stevens model 620(?). The last year that was made was 1954.

You need to provide caliber and any barrel markings (i.e. Savage Arms etc.).
I have the same rifle. =) From oldguns.net it looks like about 200,000 were made somewhere between 1938 and 1945.
