That depends on the condition. Is it "numbers matching"? Every vehicle has a VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) that decodes everything about it! For instance, a 1965-74 Chevelle has a '138' as the first numbers. This indicates it has a '396' cubic inch motor. I do not know what VIN a '56 Chevy truck has. However, Google the VIN on
it and you'll get lots of info!!
Usually an old unrestored vehicle is worth more. There are exceptions to this 'rule'!

No it will not, There is not enough room for it to fit. A car transmission is alot smaller then a truck transmission.
Depends on many factors. What particular Chevy truck, what is the mileage, how it is equipped, condition of truck, engine & transmission, and where you live. Go to www.nada.com for an estimate of the value.

Depends on condition, condition, condition. Also depends on what size engine, mileage, and what options are on the trunk. As this year Chevy truck was prone to rust their value suffers.
There are more variables that you would need to know to get the blue book value of a 1989 short bed Chevy truck, such as mileage, condition, options, and location.
Originally it would have been a 6 volt system.

The 56 Chevy 2 ton should have been available with an inline six cylinder and a 265 V8 presumably of different output than the passenger car and half ton truck.
