Keep what you got you can get good horsepower out of the 4.6 but the 5.4 is always an option.
the engine will fit,but you may have to swap computers to match
The motor itself will likely fit with significant modifications to the chassis, however it will not be a direct swap. This will be costly and will require the entire swap of the ECMs and all other electronics to go with it.
no
There is no other direct swap.
Trucks - 1999 6 Liter LS Truck Engine Swap was released on: USA: January 2013
It would help to know what engine you're trying to swap in. Quite a difference between trying to swap in a newer engine of the same model and trying to swap in, say, a Chevy small block.
can you swap 302 ford engine in to 1980 cj 5 jeep 6 cil. in line?
You can swap the engine from your 1997 Cavalier 2.2 liter engine to your 2000 Chevy Cavalier. The wiring harness and motor mounts should be in exactly the same.
Of course you can. Do a google search on "2.7 to 3.5 swap" and you'll find a web forum that discusses the swap including which engines work and what parts you'll be needing. There is good news about this swap: The 3.5L engine swap is actually CHEAPER than replacing your 2.7! You'll get more power and have a much better engine in the end. Gas mileage may suffer a bit, but who cares when you mash down on the pedal and you go!
If you are swapping the Vulcan OHV engine, it will work without issue. If you are attempting to swap the Duratec DOHC engine, it will bolt in, but the computer will not be capable of running the engine.
Yes
Yea you can but you will have to swap the inlet manifold with wiring harness off the ej25 and also the crank and cam Sensors
