usally it means the wire is off the sending unit OR Grounded-It's an electrical sending unit- usally-if it's manuel-(Broke gauge) IF the OIL PRESSURE is really bad the VALVES will B tapping & the motor will make BAD noises & get VERY HOT.
ck oil pressure with gauge, if ok replace oil sending unit there is also a $20.00 dollars oil pressure sensor that sits underneath the engine by the oil pan area(front), this sensor can get old and display the wrong pressure in the system.
its located next to the oil filter
The proper fuel pressure of a 1995 Astro van should be between 55-61 psi. Checking the fuel pressure at home requires a fuel pressure gauge and knowledge of the location of the shader valve on the fuel rail.
You need to attach a fuel pressure gauge to the port on the fuel rail to measure the pressure.
Called an "oil pressure sender", it's most usually close to the oil filter.
Remove the oil pressure sensor, connect a manual oil pressure gauge to the port & start engine. You should have 10 18 psi at idle. hope it helps, Slackers Of Va.
The pressure is checked with a gauge, the electronics are checked with an appropriate scan tool and a volt/ohm meter. The pressure is checked with a gauge, the electronics are checked with an appropriate scan tool and a volt/ohm meter.
1. low oil 2. electronic oil pressure switch has failed (probably not a mechanical oil pressure gauge cause then you would see a oil line running through the firewall to the gauge. 3. short in the wiring
My oil pressure gauge is dropping to o and the oil was just changed and is full. What could cause this
it is between 35 and 47
Probably because it has a big tank that fluctuates. I could be wrong too though.
Fuel pressure gauge hokked to port, gauge has a relief valve and hose to dump to a container. Can try pulling fuse for fuel pum, turn engine over for a period long enough to relieve most but not all the pressure.
On my 1995 Ford Explorer , which has the 4.0 litre EFI , V6 engine , the sending unit for my oil pressure gauge is on the drivers side of the engine below the power steering pump
try changing your oil sending unit first there is no fuse for your oil gauge drive safe
The oil pressure sending unit could be bad. Or the oil pressure gauge could be bad, but normally gauges don't fail............I would have someone check out the oil pressure sending unit.
Oil pressure sender /fuel pump switch for 1995 Pontiac transport 3.1 is located between oil filter and starter at front of engine.
The Wrong Woman - 1995 was released on: USA: 7 November 1995
bad gauge , bad sending unit - worn out engine

Probably the "gauge" fuse is blown. The dash lights are a completely separate circuit.
You only add refrigerant thru the LOW pressure valve. First check the pressure with a pressure gauge (should read between 25-45 psi) If low then start engin and turn AC on high. Attach refrigerant canaster to the low pressure valve to release refrigernt into the system. Canaster turns very cold and condensation appers on it as it releases into you a/c. Recheck pressure to make sure that is is at the proper PSI. You will hear the compressor kick on and off and the gague will fluctuate between the proper range.
On my 1995 Ford Explorer the " check gage " light will come on if the engine coolant temperature is TOO HIGH , the oil pressure is TOO LOW , or the fuel gauge is at or near empty
There's not 1. They sell a fuel pressure Gauge kit that goes in the line up by the throttle body when you remove the fuel line from it. Nother words you will have to splice into the fuel line.
where is the oil pressure sensor on a 1995 pontica grand am 2.3l
The Most recent sale has been $1195.00 for a 1995 Ducks Unlimited Model 12 in 28 gauge.
