Start by cleaning the battery cables.
Dead battery.
Dirty/loose battery connections.
Not fully in park or neutral.
Blown fuse.
Bad neutral safety switch.
Bad starter.
Bad starter relay.
Bad starter solenoid.
Turn the key to start and if nothing happens could be a bad starter.
Attempt to start-nothing happens or may drag like weak battery-or may grind
If there is a single click from the starter area, the starter is bad. If not, it could be an ignition switch.
motor won't start.
Your car will not start.
If the starter is engaging and the starter is able to turn the engine normally, there is nothing wrong with the solenoid. Instead, I'd look at fuel, ignition and compression.
I had a similar problem turns out the Alternator was bad.
Low or no oil and you seized the internal bearings Overheated and burned out the starter
Vehicle won't start Vehicle won't start when hot (starter drags) Starter spins not engaging flywheel (ring gear)
The starter is worn out. Eventually tapping it won't work anymore and you will be stuck. Replace it before that happens.
starter
Your ignition relay might be bad if you have good power at the battery, but nothing happens at the starter when you turn the key, all the lights light up and everything appears normal, but the starter will not engage. You may also hear a click when turning the key to start, but nothing else.
