High winds, pilot generator. Is the heater located next to a wall? Is the heater door closed? Does the heater have a draft hood or what they call a stackless heater?
Ken
If it will not lite at all, copper pilot line kinked,,, bad gas valve, if you have the button on pilot and depressed down all the way. Will light but not stay lite, bad thermocouple.
The thermocouple only keeps the pilot light. Temp sensor, gas valve, high limit switch, safety switch, thermostat, would cause burner not to stay lite. Better to post MFG,model, problem. lenox, model #, ______________________________
There is not an alternator indicator light on a Honda Pilot. If the alternator goes out, the battery will not stay charged.
If the pilot light is on, the heater should come on by itself. If the pilot light is off then it has to be lit. If it will not stay on, the thermocouple is bad.
yes I can get the pilot to stay lit
It is called a pilot light.
They're kind of like a pilot light for the engine.
Spillage , bad thermocouple
malfunction in the light or electronic and probally because of the gas prices mine always on too! haha
You light the pilot. if it will not stay lit,the thermocouple is bad.
I need to replace the pilot light on a superserve calor gas fire as the flame is blue on the bottom and yellow at the top
Simply put, no. Some gas stoves use an electrical system for ignition. Others have the typical pilot light that needs a real flame to manualy light it.
