If you cannot control your needing to urinate - as in, you feel as if your bladder is weak and you can't stop and start or hold in the flow of urine - you may have a bladder infection or or weak bladder condition. You may also have a weak pelvic floor (which can be strengthened with Kegel exercises). If you're pregnant, it is because your uterus is baring down on your bladder, applying constant pressure.
It could be caused by a number different problems.
The most common problem is in women who have had children. Giving birth often weakens the muscles around the urinary tract so leaking is common when laughing or sneezing.
Pregnancy can also cause problems due to the pressure of the womb and foetus pressing on the bladder.
The other most common problem in anyone, both male and female can be Diabetes in which case it would be worth going to the doctor to get a blood test. Diabetes is known to cause overactive bladder also known as urge incontinence, Neurogenic bladder, which is caused by nerve damage and urinary tract infections.
Urinary tract infections can also be to blame if you don't have diabetes.
The best way to find out though is to consult a GP who can carry out the appropriate tests.

Baby girl can hold it for a while but it's NOT GOOD it can cause a bladder infection and i don't recommend it...you shouldn't push her limits.
Well, if you hold your pee in to long, your bladder may burst, and you could die. If you hold your poo in too long, your body would probably just force it out.
For about 12 hours. If longer you will pee through your pants
No. "Exploding" means you'll pee your pants, but you can also get a bladder infection if you hold it for a long time.
If you hold your wee in for too long your bladder can burst which can result in death. So I'm guessing something similar would happen if you held your poo in for too long.
she cant hold her breath for more that 30 seconds. she preforms her feats by growing gills.
moose cant hold their breath. just kidding they can hold their breath for 8 minuets
Some symptoms of bladder problems in dogs are but not limited to: other heath issues, diabetes, overactive bladder, hormone levels, trouble going to the bathroom, drinking a lot. Also, if the dog has been fixed their bladder muscles are weakened so they may not be able to hold it as long.

I have a few. My bladder is so full it might leak. I can't hold my bladder even ten minutes and there's twenty minutes till the next rest stop. I made it to the bathroom but my legs are crossed and my bladder can't even hold long enough so I can pull down my pants. I wear diapers because of my weak bladder. (this didn't really happen): my friend dared me to drink water while I had to pee while in a bathing suit by my in ground pool and I did it and my bladder emptied all in my bathing suit bottom making it soaked because it was so full and all the water by the pool and the water made my bladder unable to hold anymore.
