possibly the fuel pump relay, solenoid, or fuse
Next time it won't start spray a little starting fluid into the air cleaner then immediately try to start it. If you don't get a response you probably don't have any spark. If you get a response even briefly you have a fuel delivery problem.
Sometimes yes and sometimes no, depending on what is wrong with the battery.
Your question is very confusing. If the car runs then it has to start. Please clarify.
could be a lot of things. I'd start with a battery tester, then starter, then go into the more expensive fixes.

Possible PRNDL switch mounted inside the transmission next to the valve body.. not easy to change......
Wiring or computer
Sometimes the reason that people are unlikeable is because they are doing something wrong in the way they interact with others.
so what is it
Speaking as a dad - who is sometimes wrong - Apologise, and acknowledge that you were wrong. Let him know (a) why you were wrong, and (b) what made you realise that he is right. This is the start of a better relationship for both of you.
Dead battery, out of fuel, failed starter, failed computer, failed fuel pump, etc.
it's probably either the ignition relay or the fuel pump relay.
