What is wrong with a 95 GMC Suburban if you can only shift from P to N and have to slam the shifter into OD for it to work and how much will it cost to fix this?

try the shifter cable they run under the floor on the drivers side around where you heel sits when your in the seat. I've seen many the cable shieth tears off and the cable stops working
