Yes what do I do
Could be a fuse if both stopped working. or a wire ,both windows are hooked up to same wire.
IF ALL WINDOWS HAVE STOPPED OPERATING AT ONE TIME YOU MOST PROBABLY HAVE A FUSE PROBLEM. IF THEY HAVE NOT ALL STOPPED OPERATING OR THEY HAVE STOPPED OPERATING AT DIFFERENT TIMES YOU PROBABLY HAVE POWER MOTOR PROBLEMS.
Fuses or the power window relays.
If the left light on your Pintara has stopped working, but the globes and fuses are okay, the wire may have a problem which causes it to lose power. To determine the problem, trace the wire to check for a break.
it depends if it is the switch or the motor, get a repair manual from a part store.
Blown fuse, broken wire, failed switch,
if all windows stopped working, i would first check the master window switch
Try the switch that keeps the kids from opening the back window.
The power windows are on a separate fuse from the CD Player or Dome light. The Power Windows are fuse # 61 or 62 (it is actually a circut breaker). Not sure which fuse runs the Dome light or CD player. The full fuse diagram is found in your owner's manual.
First check for a blown fuse. Check to see if there is power at the motor. If there is power at the motor then the motor itself is bad.
I have a 1988 BMW 325I and the power windows stopped working all of a sudden after a starter was replaced. Any help would be highly appreciated. Respectfully Submitted, Mills
look for obvious problems first like the fuses. then test if there's power going to the motors that open and close the windows. if there's no power its a short in the circuit. if theres power, try testing the motors with an alternate power supply to check if they are working. but they shouldn't all brake down at the same time.
Not use what you are using to make them "Light up" but if your put them on a Ohm meter and they check good, then your control panel in the drivers door might be unplugged.
fuel gauge not working and power windows and radio.2004 mercury mountaineer.
check your ignition switch
Check the fluid level in your power steering reservoir. The ESP light is on because there is a problem with the stability system. They have nothing in common.
the motor for your power windows is shot, or your wiring is gone
Heater has just stoped working no power to control panel
If all the windows quit working you need to look for a blown fuse in the fusebox.
There might be a separate fuse for the fan and the windows, located in the fusebox inside the car.
if your windows stopped working when you disconnected the battery you have to stop by the dealer and reprogram the bodt control module, it loses memory when batt is pulled without using a temp power supply
sometimes the window switches are bad and burnt and then finally the motor but first check the power at the switches.
First, check the fuse in your fuse box for power windows with a test light. If the other windows are working properly then it's not the fuse. Next, check the power window switch with a test light, assuring power is going into, as well as out of, the switch. If it is, then you will need to disassemble the door panel and test the power motor with a test light. If it is getting power then you need a new motor. On rare occassions the electric motor will develop a "flat spot" and when it is stopped at that flat spot it will not re-start. If this is the case you can "tap" the motor casing with a hammer freeing it from that spot and it will work again, but this is only a temporary fix.
