Dont you think this is a question you should answer yourself? This question is probably asked by an employer and are looking for your ability to serve the customer. If you have a good attitude about service, of going above and beyond then you will have a positive result.

I believe that respect is the foundation of service. When i train people i always say that its all about respect .... respect for the business as it is a business and should be treated as such; respect for the customer even though they are not always right; respect for your peers as everyone has to work together and finally respect for yourself as the job you are doing is worthy

A good customer will show the customer they are important first of all. Be able to communicate well with a variety of clients, being able to listen effectively while sounding warm. A great customer service representative also takes personal responsibility in achieving first call resolution. Will they go the extra step, because to tell you the truth you don't want the caller to have call back. I've worked in call centers where about 1/10th of our calls was caller calling back because they weren't taken care of initially. This will seriously affect your bottom line.

Customer Service is any time you help someone who doesn't work in your department. For example, I used to work in an office at a school. We didn't sell anything-the parents were our customers. I would even include the teachers in that category-since it was my job to help them. So I would say something like this: "Answer multi-line telephone and direct calls. Courteously greet parents and community members. Answer questions and provide services requested, including building tours. Direct families to available services, including the free and reduced lunch program, while maintaining strick confidentiality." Think about anybody you helped in your previous jobs and write about that.
