Yes. A 16 year old can get emancipated in the State of Michigan. There is a petetion you must aqquire and fill out. There is a filing fee and you would file it to your county court. There are several requirements you must meet to be considered. 1. Your parent or guardian signs the petition (not i…n all cases the decision is ultimately up to the judge). 2. You are of the age of 16 (subject to circumstance but most often than not true.) 3. You have the ability to financially support yourself. 4. You can prove a place of residence. 5. You show that you can personally handle your social affairs. 6. It is in best interest of the applicant. Basically, you need to prove responsibility. Though the petition may be signed by the judge, it does not automatically grant you emancipation. It grants you a trial emancipation. This is so they can see that you prove all of these things. If not, your petetion will most likely be denied. As for your parent/guardian signing the petition, that is not always required seeing as the case is out of their hands, same as your age at the time of the petition. Another thing you would need with the petition is and Affidivant. This is someone who has known you for a decent amount of time. I would recommend they be of a higher position of employment as that would show liability to their word. This person would give reasons why it be better you are on your own. They would sign the petition and appear at the hearings. The petetion hearing and the finalization, if granted. Hope i am of help. (: (Answers.From.Me) ( Full Answer )

I am currently doing paid online surveys at my computer at night. This particular one (can't speak for the rest) is not a scam. I checked it out extensively online before I joined. There is no fee what-so-ever from you. It is free to sign up and you take surveys that you select. Some pay very little…, like $.25 some pay as much as $20.00, most I complete are between $.50 and $1.50. This does not sound like much, but in one months time, it adds up. Just in 3 1/2 days I have $20.34 in my account and another $31.30 pending, which will be added to my account once the survery companies confirm that I completed the surveys. There are some that I do not complete- some require that you sign up for 4 other companies when you begin the survey. (You can spot those when you click on the survey and scroll down to the bottom- you will see the requirements that list as Gold promotions and Silver promotions. I do not complete these.) For the most part you will get a lot of emails from spam, but other than that there is no harm. One thing I realized from checking out companies online is that ever since the do not call list was established, it has become hard for companies to reach the public- that is why companies pay for normal people, like me and you, to complete these surveys. In addition this particular company has 2 daily surveys that each pay $0.80. If you only complete these you can earn $48 per month. ( Full Answer )

You'll need to understand first that there are a lot of obstacles discouraging employers from hiring teens. Additionally many online sites wont accept your application if you are under 18. It may be difficult for you to find a job, but its not impossible, if you treat the job search like a job in it…self you will eventually find something. If there is a particular place you are interested in working for, (restaurant or retail chain are sometimes willing to hire teens) i recommend you visit them in person to fill out an application. Dress neatly & take all the metal stuff out of your face (if applicable). Print up a resume and include it with the application, it doesnt matter that there wont be much on it, just the fact that you bothered may help. You might also discuss the matter with a school guidance counselor. They may have some connections, or know of places other teens have worked or are working at in your area. Check with the local YMCA or at your local community center. ( Full Answer )

Yes, but most likely you won't be working at the registers or making the food and drinks until you are 18. Teens at the age of 16 are usually cleaning the tables or bathrooms.
Jobs at 13 are really hard to find. Pet care services, house sitting for vacationers, paper route if available in your area, lawn cutting, leaf raking, snow shoveling, house cleaning; all forms of self employment. For the most part, 13 year olds have to be inventive to earn money. Use extreme cautio…n if you plan to work in the homes of other people. Freelance writing or on air local radio or TV personality if you have the skills. Modeling and show business hires all ages but you have to live in a place where there is enough of this kind of industry and you need an adult manager, even if it's a parent. ( Full Answer )
