Ctrl - S will save a Word document. Shift - F12 will also do a save. F12 will do a Save As.
I used to have this App and yes you can save worlds by tapping the menu then save.
To save a previously saved document to the same location with the same name.

If you have saved the word document, after amendments, then no you will not be able to find it again. As word will only save the new text. If you have not saved it, or used the save as function you should still be able to find it.
