Mistakenly called the "Panda Bear"..........

The Panda is a black and white bear. Although its close relative, the red panda, looks like a raccoon, some scientists say it is a bear, and others, a raccoon.

Will this "baffling"creature ever get its own page in the Red Data Animals book?

I think it won't because it is endangered.

i think it's a bear!

its not a real bear, its in a class all its own. i think scientists just called it a bear b/c it sounded good with panda. the panda eats bamboo (plants) and in rare occasions, meat. bears on the otherhand, always eat meat and berries, not grass.

Panda bears are mammals which have unusual cat-like eyes,with pupils that are vertical slits.
