This was the moment in which they began to experiment with new tools like the visual arts as well as in architecture. We can not say that the popularity of Impressionism ended because it taught to artist & ordinary people that paintings painted in plain air where far more amazing and colorful than the ones painted in artist studios. Impressionism simply paved the way to the modern art.
