Nowadays. most don't wear special cloths at the new year.but we will take on new cloths. but some will wear 唐装 Ancient Chinese Clothing (Chinese Traditional Style Dress)

Maybe a kimono? (Or maybe that's Japan..)

Many mainland Chinese don't celebrate Christmas, at least openly. People of CHinese descent who have converted to Christianity celebrate Christmas in the same manner as those of the neighbours in their country of residence.

There is no speicified clothing for Christmas unless you happen to be Santa Claus in any of his manifestations), Black Peter or an elf.

I was recently in China and they wear the same clothing styles we do. They sometimes wear the trditional clothing with cloth or wooden buttons, but again just for special ocasions.
