I can absolutely answer this question. MY QUALIFIER: I was an inmate in the Missouri Department of Corrections in 2006 and again in 2009. I was drug tested a total of 3 times while I was an inmate, once in 2006 and twice in 2009.
There are two reasons that one will get drug tested while they are in the MO DOC.
1. Each prison is required to test a certain number of inmates randomly each month. I was told by the sergeant administering the tests that they get a list from DOC HQ in Jefferson City, MO that tells them which inmates are to be randomly tested each week.
2. If the correctional officers have reason to believe that an inmate has been using drugs they can request that specific inmates be tested.
HOW IT WORKS: (I can only definitively say how it works for MO DOC at the Western Diagnostic Correctional Center in St. Joseph, MO.)
During the morning count a CO comes to your cell and tells you to report (after count) to the drug testing office.
You report to the office and the officer on duty pats you down to make sure you have not brought anything with you to contaminate/alter the test.
The officer then hands you a specimen cup and directs you to the bathroom in the drug testing office. Obviously, they have the ability to shut off the water in this bathroom. Depending on the officer ( it has happened to me both ways) they will either tell you to urinate in cup and hand it back to the officer OR they will actually watch while you provide specimen.
Once you have given specimen you watch as officer seals the cup.....you then write your initials on a safety seal and watch the officer seal the specimen cup.....you then sign a form saying that you watched the officer seal the cup.
The specimen is then sent to the drug testing facility at the Farmington correctional institution.
If you have passed your UA you don't hear anything else about it. If you have FAILED you will be advised that you have failed within a week.......you then provide another UA so the results can be compared.
If you have FAILED you will automatically be put on a list to be retested in 30 days (sometimes less)....if the drug levels have not dropped since previous UA it will be considered another FAIL.
When you fail you are issued a conduct violation for drug use.
Consequence for first failed UA is relatively minor. Cell restriction for 7-21 days...loss of visits...etc.
If you fail more than one drug test MO has the option of setting your release date back for a certain length of time. I do not want to speculate as to the length...because I am not sure.
The reason I am confident about my answer is that I was drug tested 3 times.....failed once......had consequences given.....and was given another UA 3 weeks later.
What a stupid question.. how many way is there? they DNA ur blood.
they use urine tests ussually
Urine and blood.
What kind of job exactly? It could not be as a Corrections Officer. Most positions in the department of corrections are positions of 'public trust.' As a general rule government agencies do not hire persons with a felony arrest record.
You may want to check the visitation guidelines on the Department of Corrections website of your respective state or county. But usually a child needs to be accompanied by their legal guardian with a birth certificate or government issued ID. Most correctional facilities will accept visas and proof of residency as well. You can google your states/ county's department of corrections website and check from there. I do not suggest calling because nine times out of ten, no one will be able to help you. Sorry.
If you do not intend to be drug free (except for those that you have a prescription for) during your employment, then do not apply. They are sending a clear signal to you that drug use will not be tolerated.
sucrose is a drug ingredient
Drug is made illegal by the types or kind of that drug!
I believe Aleve is a drug that is kind of like Tylenol or Advil painkiller type.
A driver's license is a privilege, and may be removed by your state's Department of Revenue for any kind of misuse or noncompliance.
it is a kind of drug
