Use 5w30 if you live in a cold climate like Minnesota in winter. Otherwise 10w30 works everywhere else. Heavy oils work fine but reduce gas mileage slightly. 5W30 is very light( think gas economy) ,10w30 is medium ( think all-around),15w30 is heavier( think trailer towing) The synthetic blends are my personal choice. Brand choice is strictly opinion; you can't go wrong.
