Ask your vet, but lavender oil is calming, and probably better for your dog then a medication. However, I would still ask if it's ok for your's. I use it on my dog and it works, but some have Allergies.
Sedatives for your pets should only be used when prescribed by a vet for a specific reason (for example if your dog is terrified of thunderstorms).
Examples of veterinary sedatives:
- alpha-2 agonists (eg. medetomidine) may be prescribed to use on a healthy dog. However, there are many situations, such as when the animal has Heart disease, where this is not appropriate.
- phenothiazine derivatives (eg. acepromazine) - but cause hypotension
- benzodiazepines (eg. diazempam/valium)
As mentioned above, these drugs have side effects and if used inappropriately can lead to death, so it is very important that you do not medicate your pets yourself...
Many human medications are harmful for animals, so do not give you pet anything without first asking your vet for advice.
Contact your vet. I would not use medical advice on this site.
Give it food or water or treats. If that does not work, let it outside.Or,play with it til it gets tired.
comfort it
Neutering very commonly "calms a dog down", but there are no guarantees in that, of course.
If any type of dog that is not on medication ate medication they would be near death. They would have to get their stomach pumped which makes theme vomit and hope for the best!
u have to kill her by sendin the dogs after her nd den wen she calms dem down she will be happy and give and adoption certificate
Try your dog on Prozac only one tablet a day DONT OVERDOSE YOUR DOG ! observe if any different after week withdraw medication if no effect
If your puppy is biting you too roughly, yelp loudly (seriously, it's dog-speak for "Ouch!") and smack him away (gently, though). If he calms down, leave it at that. If he continues to bite you, grab him by the neck (again, gently) and make him roll over, belly-up. Hold him there until he calms down.
In that chapter, Annabeth calms down Cereberus, the three-headed dog that belongs to Hades. They would've been eaten if she didn't calm him down.
I don't think you should try giving your dog or any pet any human medication or medicine. Just use pet medication that is the right type. Good luck :)
yes music does affect a dogs mood because they are almost like us they are able to understand the way that we do buy just listing to it calms them down like it does us
if your dog is well trained use a simple voice command like no or an sound that you have trained your dog to pay attention to like chhht or ah, ahp. if your dog is not trained wait till it calms down a little then grab its collar pull it down(like a dominant dog would) and say a vocal attention getter. if a case like this shows up its probably time for training
there's medication for dog epilepsy
Depends on what kind of sickness. Please do not put a dog down because you can not afford medication for them. Usually you know when your dog has given up. When they stop eating, drinking and going to the bathroom. Becoming very lethargic. Its hard to explain.
