A burn on the skin caused by excessive exposure to the sun or other sources of ultraviolet-A and -B radiation.
The Sun is very..... sunlike. It is huge, immensely hot, and gives off light and radiation enough to give us sunburns from 93 million miles away.
The Sun's light (all forms of radiation from radio to heat to light to xrays are electromagnetic radiation) is radiated outward in pretty-much equal measure in all directions. Some tiny part of the Sun's radiation impacts the Earth, warming the planet, causing weather, plant growth and sunburns.
The UV radiation from the sun can result in sunburns of varying severity. In serious cases, second-degree burns can be inflicted, resulting in intense pain and blistering.
radiation
The radiation of sun that is stopped by ozone layer is UV. This radiation can cause cataract and skin cancer.
