dextron 3 automatic Transmission Fluid. Now known as domestic multi vehicle transmission fliud. ( GM and licencing thing)
Get a lube shop to do it.

You must use-- DEXRON III Trans. fluid
Your pour it in the same place you check it.
It is important to use the right type of transmission fluid in a car. A 1994 Chevy Corsica take Dexron III transmission fluid.
It takes 12quarts of transmission fluid with torque converter drained.
You will have to remove the pan on the bottom of the TRANSMISSION, and you will see it.
A 1997 Chevrolet Suburban will hold approximately 4 quarts of transmission fluid. This fluid can be purchased at any auto parts store such as NAPA.
The easiest and cheapest answer is that it is low on transmission fluid. If that is not the case, then the transmission must be rebuilt.
It sounds like you need to change your transmission fluid but call a car dealer and ask.

The transmission of a 94 Chevy Camaro holds a total of 12 quarts but usually only 5 are needed when performing a fluid change. Much of the fluid remains in the transmission and torque converter.
