What kind of water does a turtle survive in as a pet?

the type of water that you need would depend on the type of turtle that you have. If you got your turtle from a pet shop they should be able to tell you, but if you got it from a lake or the ocean then you would need to make the water as similar as possible.

Either way your water would need to be teated. You could probable just phone a pet shop and tell them that you have got a turtle from a friend and are unsure what water you need to put it in - they should be able to help.

You more than likely will need to get a water test kit (the same as what you would get for fish) and also some water purifying tablets or liquids.

You need to remiember also that turtles need to be able to get onto land as they can not breath underwater. the best way to do this is to put wand and rocks in one side of the tank that you have them in.
