You have the air lines, which can get leaks and holes. Also, the dryers and compressors can give out if the system has leaks. Also, the air bags, solenoids, relays, all of these components make up the air suspension in a vehicle. Although people love the smooth ride an air system provides, once these fail it's no longer a smooth ride but a big headache. Suspension solution..... conversion kit. These take the air components out but don't compromise the air ride feel.
A suspension is formed from an insoluble solid in liquids or from solid particles in air.
The air condition has nothing to do with the suspension on these vehicles at all. If you are looking for answers to the problems that come along with the Lincoln Navigator air suspension visit Strutmasters.com :)
Need to know what the problems are.

An air suspension is a form of vehicle suspension in which compressed air is used as a spring.
The compressor is located on the front passenger side of the engine compartment just in front of the battery. (man, have we had problems with the whole suspension system!)

Welcome to the horror of air suspension. Nice ride when it works, but very expensive when it breaks. I replaced the air pump once, but had problems with it after. So, I found that the best thing to do was just to remove the air bags in the rear and disconnect the pump. Problem, where do you find the right parts for replacement. Answer is at Strutmasters.com 1-866-597-2397 They are in Roxboro, N.C. You can fix the air suspension, although it will be very expensive. Most of the parts will have to be replaced. I bought the coil spring replacement kit, paid around $ Can. Delivered to Montreal Canada $ 220.00. Put the springs in, they also tell you which wire to clip for the air suspension bell, and the car rides just great, yes a little rougher than air, but, no more problems. It still maintains the Crown ride, and no more problems. It is hard to justify such a large expense for air ride on a "96. Good luck.
A suspension is a mixture of liquids with particles of a solid which may not dissolve in the liquid. Therefore, air would be a suspension.
NO , there are standard suspension , standard suspension with off road package , and air suspension equipped 2003 Ford Expeditions
sounds like your solenoids are leaking, usually in your air bag (suspension). or a hose.
