- Namibia
- Cameroon
- Togo
- A large portion of northeastern New Guinea (at the time called "Kaiser-Wilhelmsland")
- several islands/groups of islands in the Pacific, especially the Solomon Islands, Mariana Island, and Western Samoa (now called just "Samoa").
- a couple cities in China, especially Qingdao (the Germans built the Tsingtao beer brewery there).
Germany also lost territory in Europe, mainly the so-called "Polish Corridor" that went to newly independent Poland. Additionally, Germany was forced to give Alsace-Lorraine back to France- Germany had taken it from France after a war in 1871.
