Mainly the quadriceps of the thighs and the tibialis anterior and peroneus muscles of the lower leg.
Quadriceps, Glutes, Calves, Core, and Deltoids are used for kicking. They each play their own roles in getting the job done.
You use the front of the hip (hip flexors) Abdominals and quads (top of the thigh)
Your thigh is attached to lower side of trunk on one hand and to leg on other. It has strong anterior, posterior and medial muscle compartments. It can have all sort of movement with trunk on one hand and flex-ion and extension with leg on other hand. So it helps very effectively in locomotion of the human being, which does not use the forelimbs for locomotion.
Yes, for example you can check a middle kick by holding you your opponent leg and then you could strike with your elbow downward to the thigh, or you could use a combination like downward to the thigh and then spining back elbow to the face
in cheer you use a lot of muscles but you usually use your thigh and leg muscles most. but strengthen every muscle because you still use the other muscles ALOT to ! hope i helped (:
you use these muscles in your leg:quadriceps - front thigh parthamstring - back tigh partcalf - back of kneethey all help move the ball:) :) X O X O
When doing an arabesque it is important to use the following muscles: -Abdomen -Standing Leg thigh -Back -Inner Thigh (Lifted Leg)
you actually just use your quadriceps, unless you are also flexing your foot, then you use your tibialis anterior as well you also use your foot feet to move the foot and kick it and that's the awser like me works all the time.......

To answer your question plainly i would have to say that you use every muscle to kick a ball... i say that you use all you muscles because your really do ... To kick a ball you would mostly use your buttocks , caff muscle, thigh muscle, ab muscles.. there are so many muscles in the human body that contribute to the most simplest of things .... the brain, heart and lungs would be the origin that would be in most use...
in a normal leg press you are using your quadriceps which are the muscles on the top of your thigh. leg lifts also help to gaining muscle in the thigh but aim lower to around the lower quad right above your knee. There are three muscles:QuadricepHamstringGluteus Maximus
