I don't really know what you're getting at with this question. Blood pressure is measured with three numbers, systolic, diastolic, and pulse rate. Systolic pressure measures the blood being pumped through the heart when it contracts, where diastolic measures the relaxation of the heart muscle to allow blood to fill the chambers. Puls rate is how many contract-relax cycles happen in one minute. Hope this helps...

Blood pressure is is sometimes called arterial blood pressure. It is caused by circulating blood on the walls of arteries. When the heart beats, it does not have a constant pressure. It rests slightly in between beats. There is a maximum called systolic and a minimum called diastolic. The pressure is measured in the upper arm at the brachial artery. The BP is expressed in systolic pressure over diastolic pressure in millimeters of Mercury (mmHg) and normal blood pressure for an adult is 120/80.

You use a BP cuff, pump it up until the pressure in the cuff is the same as the pressure in the artery. Using a stethoscope you can hear when this happens. No sound is heard in the artery. Then the pressure is released and when the pressure is heard again the second reading is made.

What is blood pressure measurement?

the non-invasive measurement of the pressure exerted by the circulating blood on the walls of the body's arteries.

Describe the normal ranges for each type of blood pressure measurement?

Blood pressure measurements are a combination of the systolic and diastolic pressure. Ideally, blood pressure should be under 120 in the systolic measurement and 80 in the diastolic measurement, commonly notated as 120 over 80.

What is the first measurement of blood pressure?

Systolic

Blood pressure is a measurement of what?

Blood pressure is the measure of the force of the blood against the walls of the blood vessels that it is contained in. Blood pressure is usually expressed in mmHg as the systolic pressure divided by the diastolic pressure.

A measurement of the force in the arteries as the heart pumps?

A sphygmomanometer is a device used to measure blood pressure. A more common name for this device is a blood pressure meter.

How does blood pressure effect blood pressure And what number is sount for the high blood pressure . hurry ...?

A blood pressure measures the amount of pressure on your arteries when your heart is pumping and contracting blood. There are two measurements. One is the diastolic. The diastolic is the measurement of the pressure on your arteries when your heart is relaxed. This number should be low, in between 50 and 90. It is the bottom number in the ratio. The systolic measurement is the top number in the ratio. The systolic measurement is the amount of pressure on the arteries when the heart is beating or contracted. This number should be between 100 and 150. The text book normal blood pressure is 120/80=S/D. hope that helps.

What is blood pressure-?

Blood pressure is the pressure of the blood in the circulatory system, often measured for diagnosis since it is closely related to the force and rate of the heartbeat and the diameter and elasticity of the arterial walls.

When the systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure are too close together what might that indicate?

Reduced blood flow ... but its usually an artifact of measurement rather than real.

What type of blood pressure is produced when the heart is in a relaxed state?

The measurement of blood pressure results in two numbers: the systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure. This is expressed as a fraction: systolic over diastolic. The diastolic blood pressure is produced when the heart is in a relaxed state. It is the measure of the pressure exerted on the arteries during diastole, or relaxation.
