He was further refused a safe passage by Poseidon, and lost men and comrades until he was the only one left alive. He returned to Ithaca learning that his wife was the object of pursuit of many randy suitors, that his palace was made a drunken place by those who believed him dead. These suitors all met a tragic ending when Odyssues finally revealed himself.

∙ 8y agoThe Odyssey is an ancient Greek epic poem written by the blind poet Homer. It describes what happened to Odysseus, king of Ithaca, after the Trojan war as he tries to get home. During the journey, he meets plenty of characters and monsters. He meets the lotus eaters, the Cyclops Polyphemus, Circe the witch-goddess, Scylla and Charybdis, and others. It's a very good book and I highly recommend it.
