Cylinder head valves. Try slightly thicker oil.
Noises are impossible to correctly diagnoise unless you can hear them. I had the very same problem with my 1999 Pontiac Grand Am. I had to replace the signal switch. That's what was causing the clicking in my car. Maybe you might want to get this checked out. Mine was clicking constantly and very annoying. Godd luck!! Rob I had the same problem too on my contour, and not only did I have to replace the switch, the relays need to be changed regularly. there is a short in the system, there was a recall on them when the car was new, but ford won't help you now, you'll just have to keep replacing the relays. Pain in the ***! Paula
Yes, it shouldn't be a problem.
mine did the same thing , I had the rotors cut and no problem after that..
Had same problem with 1998 ford contour gl. Replaced transmission range sensor and problem stopped.
Your 2000 Ford Contour cannot reverse because of a transmission failure problem.
No known cure, but swishing sesame oil in your mouth on an empty stomach in the morning for about 10 minutes and chewing black/white sesame for about 5-10 minutes ARRESTS the problem.
morning in nagrebcan climax
A bad resistor can cause your BCM to make a clicking sound. The clicking noise can be caused by the relays and replacing the BCM will fix the problem.
Have vehicle scanned to determine problem
Replace the shocks and struts! :-D
I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM WITH MY CONTOUR AND IT ENDED UP BEING THAT THE FUEL INJECTORS WERE LEAKING DOWN INTO MY CYLINDER THEREFOR "FLOODING IT OUT"
problem resolved
