Hindus by nature have social taboos in their social hierarchy in class and Caste System are vegetarians as practiced by the orthodox Brahmins but no doctrines forbid consumption of domesticated animals and poultry by the lower social hierarchy exceptCow/Buffalo meat considered to be a Taboo and holy.
