Silver has the highest electrical conductivity of any metal, followed closely by copper, gold, and aluminum.

It should be noted that electrical conductivity is a function of temperature and all comparisons must be made at a standard temperature or adjusted for temperature.

The best conductor of electricity among the metals is silver, and gold is a very good conductor also. We find copper is used in almost all electrical wiring, so it is very good also.

I am not an expert but copper is used in a lot of wires so it is probably the best, unless there was a better conductor which was too rare or expensive or hard to shape.

Silver is the best conductor of electricity

The above is correct under "normal" conditions. However, at cryogenic ("super-cold") temperatures, some materials lose their conductivity completely - zero electrical resistance. This is called superconductivity. So far, superconductivity has not been achieved at room temperatures; the highest temperature for superconductors is around 100 Kelvin. Superconductors are already used in special cases, for example, for the strong magnets required for some particle accelerators.

What materials conduct heat and electricity?

The best conductor for heat and electricity is any type of metal element.

How much electricity can metal conduct?

It depends on the type of metal. The ability of a metal to conduct electricity is one trait that identifies a metal. For example, copper can conduct electricity very well (better than most metals).

What type of metal will conduct electricity the worst?

gold

Why should you not use the same type of metal to test conduct?

Because if the two metal touch each other they would not conduct electricity!

Is a gold ring a good conductor of electricity?

A gold ring can conduct electricity since gold is a metal and all metals conduct electricity. Gold, in fact, is the third most conductive element.

What is having the ability to conduct electricity or heat?

Metals are good conductors of heat and electricity. The metal conduct electricity because they have unbound electrons (or valence electrons) that can conduct the electricity as the electrons can move. Similarly, they conduct heat because the electrons are free to vibrate which causes neighbouring electrons to vibrate and so on along the entire piece of metal. These vibrations cause the metal to conduct the heat.Graphite, a type of carbon, is also a good conductor of electricity. Graphite is soot.

Does aluminum foil conduct electricity?

Does camphor conduct electricity?

No, camphor does not conduct electricity. It is a type of organic compound, so it cannot ionize to conduct electricity.

What type of elements is platinum?

Platinum is a transition metal. Transition elements are both ductile and malleable, and conduct electricity and heat.

What type of metal conducts electricity the best?

Silver is the best conducter, followed by copper then gold.

Is a magnet a insulator or conductor of electricity?

Assuming you mean electrical conductor / insulator, most bar magnets are made of solid metal, either iron, neodymium or an alloy of aluminium nickel and cobalt, so they conduct electricity. There is one type of magnet called a ferrite magnet which does not conduct electricity - they are the type often found in loudspeakers.

What type of material does not conduct heat or electricity?

Yes,it is the plastics, wood.our clothes that donot conduct heat or electricity
