What might cause a 1998 Dodge one ton 24v diesel to die when you put it in gear?

The idle sensor need to be increased to allow more fuel to the

motor. on our truck it was the torque converter locking up at idle

causing the engine to stall. like dumping the clutch on a standard

transmission it would also stall Something else is when is the last

time you had serviced your dodge? More than likely the torque

converter. IF you can get the truck to move/ roll then place it in

gear and it continues to move then that means your torque converter

is BAD.
