If you added the batteries in parallel, then the bulb would stay on for a long time

and nobody would get any sleep. If you added the batteries in series, then the

voltage across the bulb would eventually become excessive and the bulb would

burn out.

What might happen to a bulb if you added too many extra batteries to the circuit?

If you added more batteries in parallel, then the bulb would shine for a long time. If you added more batteries in series, then the bulb would burn very brightly for a short time and then 'burn out'.

Why does energy increase when voltage increases?

If we increase the voltage by adding extra cells or batteries we give the electrical charges more energy and so, the current flowing around the circuit increases.

Why lights in a house often dim when a motor like washing machine is turned on?

Simply because of the extra drain on the circuit. When a high-current device like a washing machine is switched on - it creates a temporary 'dip' in the power supply around the building. The mains supply compensates for the extra load on the circuit fairly quickly - but it's still noticeable by the dim lights.

What do you notice about the brightness of the bulbs in the parallel curcuits as you add more bulbs to it?

Nothing if the current capacity of the circuit is not exceeded. The extra bulb will draw more current and if the limit is not reached all bulbs will continue at their rated brightness. If the current capacity is overrdrawn either the circuit breakeer will break and stop all lights or if the capacity is not fused all lights will dim.

What happens to the current through a series circuit as more resistors are added in series?

If the bulbs are in a series circuit the voltage drops at each bulb drops as additional bulbs are added. In a parallel circuit the voltage is constant no matter how many bulbs are added.

Does anything happen to the brightness of the bulb when you add an extra battery to a simple circuit?

We did this experiment in class, the more batteries added, the brighter the bulb will become!

Why external resistances are added to armature circuit in a dc motor?

extra resistance is added in order to decrease starting current and improve starting torque

What 2 voltages is a short circuit made of?

Circuits are not made of voltages, they are made of loops. A short circuit exists when a connection is added that is not supposed to be part of the intended circuit as designed. This added connection produces extra loops in the circuit that typically prevent current from reaching parts of the circuit where it is needed and can cause excessive current to flow in other parts of the circuit, resulting in damage to the components in the circuit.

Where can I buy extra laptop batteries?

Extra laptop batteries can be bought straight from the maker of the laptop or from the stores they are sold in such as Best Buy and Officemax.

What are trhe advantages of parallel circuits?

One of the parallel circuit focal points is that it guarantees all parts of the circuit have the same voltage as the source. Case in point, the second or each extra light added to the circuit would have the same shine.

What would happen to a series circuit if another bulb was added?

A: Adding any resistance bulbs or whatever in a series circuit will reduce current and will reduce total power. In this case the bulb will glow dimmer as any additional bulbs are placed in the series circuit. this is true if the same input source is kept constant.

Which circuit breaker is preferred for extra high tension application?

bulk oil circuit breaker

Buying Extra Panasonic Camera Batteries?

If you own a Panasonic camera, you may need to buy extra batteries. Some Panasonic camera users might take an above-average number of photos. When the battery wears out, you must recharge the battery before using your camera. Buying extra Panasonic camera batteries can enable you to continue using your device.

Can I buy extra batteries for my cordless power tool?

Absolutely, but these are expensive. That's especially true for contractor grade batteries which can cost around 80$ and up.
