Best Answer

Hummingbirds lay eggs every two or three months, it is not specified what specific month, however, depending on what, season they are born in can determine that, such as fall, they will lay eggs in fall within 3 or 2 months, however winter keeps them waiting or moving to different places. This is my most scientific answer to come.

Well,

hummingbirds lay two eggs at a time and only lay once in a whole lifetime.

This is completely untrue! Hummingbirds can live up to 6 years and lay two eggs a year, so one female can lay up to 12 eggs in her lifetime. In the future, please check your facts before leaving such an incorrect answer.

Unlike the Rufous and other hummingbirds of the western mountains, where freezing nights are common even in summer, Ruby-throats aren't well adapted to cold temperatures; they have a tough time below the mid-20s (F), and don't enter torpor as regularly as their western cousins to conserve energy. To avoid the cold, and the scarcity of food when flowers stop blooming and insects stop flying, they go south. Some adult males start migrating south as early as mid-July, but the peak of southward migration for this species is late August and early September.

They will make nests and lay eggs during the spring and summer. They will attempt to raise two broods per summer. They will make nests at different times of the year depending on where you live.

The world's 340 or so species of hummingbirds are found only in the Americas and the islands of the Caribbean. Hummingbirds exploit a number of habitats ranging from tropical and temperate rainforests to deserts, parks, backyards, gardens and wherever nectar producing flowers bloom. Hummingbirds typically lay two elongated white eggs. These birds can lay eggs all year round.
