What are five inland bodies of water between the US and Canada?
Lake Erie, Lake Ontario, Lake Michigan, Lake Superior, and Lake Heron. I don't really know how to spell Heron but I think that is how you spell it. =============================================================================== Presumably the question was intended to refer to the five "Great Lakes." First, what we call Lake Michigan is not situated between the US and Canada. There are, in fact, many more bodies of water through which the International Boundary between the US and Canada runs. A few of these are: Lake of the Woods, Rainy River, Rainy Lake, Pigeon River, St Marys River, St Clair River, Lake St Clair, Detroit River, Niagara River, St Lawrence River, St Croix River, and St John River. There are also approximately 40 smaller lakes in the Quetico region, and about a dozen smaller lakes along the St Croix and St John Rivers. From a hydrological perspective, however, Lakes Michigan and Huron (not "Heron") constitute just one large lake containing two large lobes. As such, there are really only four Great Lakes.

Lines are parallel and run?
Latitude lines run horizontally east and west at different distances from the equator and are called parallels, probably because they circle the earth at a constant distance from each other. We sometimes refer to certain areas by latitude as parallels. For example, A military boundary between North Korea and South Korea was set at the 38th parallel. Most of the boundary between the United States and (British) Canada was set at the 49th parallel. longitude lines run north-south and are furthest from each other at the equator and come togegther at the poles.

What did the Democratic slogan of 1844 Fifty-four forty or Fight refer to?
It referred to the establishment of a border between the Oregon Territory and British Canada (Rupert's Land, British Columbia). The Democrats insisted on the latitude of 54º 40' N (54 degrees, 40 minutes), which would have bordered Russian America (Alaska) and given Canada little or no Pacific coast. President Polk offered the dividing line along the 49th parallel, while expansionists pushed for the higher boundary. In 1846, rather than face a war with Britain as well as with Mexico, Polk returned to the lower boundary, which exists today.

What happens if an American citizen marries Canadian citizen in Canada and the Canadian is bankrupt what happens with sponsorship and visas and such?
Any questions you have you should refer them to the Canada CIC. It is not impossible for the Canadian to sponsor you if he/she filed for bankruptcy but it does make it more difficult. Mainly they have to be able to AFFORD to take care of you once youre in Canada. But refer to the CIC. Google it. Canada CIC for all info. Good luck
