In keeping with tradition in Hindu and Hare Krishna faiths, George was cremated within a few hours of his death, and before his passing was announced to the worlds media. Following his death it was reported that his ashes would be scattered on the waters of the River Ganges, also a Hindu tradition, and some people gathered on the banks of the river when this was supposed to happen, but (as far as I have found out) this did not happen, leaving the exact whereabouts of George's ashes a mystry. Some people believe they were scattered in Sweden where George had been living prior to his death, or other people think they may have been taken to his English home at Friar Park.
George was cremated, not buried. His ashes were scattered in India,
