Many different parts of the brain are involved in memory recall (what people commonly call "remembering"). However, if one had to restrict his/her answer to a single brain structure, the hippocampus would probably be the one at the top of most neuroscientists' lists.
The area of the brain that allows us to hold short term memory is the pre-frontal lobe which is the part of the brain at the very front of the head and it is this section which accounts for the upright foreheads of humans.
There is not one specific part of the brain associated with the storage of long term memory as bits of information are stored in various places in the brain.
However, information is transferred to long term memory from short term memory by the Hippocampus which is located in the inner fold of the temporal lobe and is essential in the processing of long term memory.

It is said to be cerebral cortex. But there is something like emotional intelligence. If you are involve in somebody, then you do not forget the person. If you love your job, then holidays are not required and you do not look at the wrist watch, when you work.
The hypothalamus is the part of the brain that controls body temperature, as well as other things like thirst, hunger, and the release of many hormones.
